Give a Golden Gift at Christmas
Christmas is a time to spend with family and friends.
But not all animals are lucky enough to have loved ones and a home to call their own.
So, this Christmas Adelaide Pets Alive! is asking for you to help vulnerable and homeless animals during your celebrations.
Whether you have lunch, dinner, drinks or are meeting friends at the pub, we are inviting you to make a gold coin collection for the animals in our care.
All you have to do is download the invitation, let your friends and family know to bring a gold coin donation and place a small bowl on the table.
Once you have collected the donations, you can simply transfer your Golden Gift.

Ruby
This beautiful girl was 8 months old when she was found under a tree in a cat enclosure (with 4 other cats).
Adelaide Pets Alive! provided desexing, microchipping, vaccination, flea and worm treatment and her foster carers have provided her with lots of love.
Ruby came to us as a very reserved and scared young lady. But once she settled, it was apparent that she would assimilate well into domestic life.
When Ruby was transferred to her foster home, she hid for 24 hours and then she was out and about. Ruby enjoys interactive toys, lazing on the couch, watching TV and enjoying some late night gaming!
Ruby has a fluffy striped coat and a gorgeous tail. Her orange eyes are striking and she has an adorable pink nose.
Ruby is seeking a home. Not just for the holidays, but a home and a family she can finally call her own.
Ruby's details:
Ruby has no adoption fee.
Ruby is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.
Ruby is litter trained.
Ruby is an indoor cat.
Ruby's estimated birthday is 20/02/2025
If you are interested in adopting Ruby, please contact Adelaide Pets Alive! via messenger or hello@adelaidepetsalive.org.au.

Our Story
In 2023, Adelaide Pets Alive! was founded and serves the community of Adelaide, South Australia. Fuelled by the urgency to address pet euthanasia, pet homelessness and due to a lack of legal protection for homeless pets, Adelaide Pets Alive! was created to provide a safety net for our furry companions.

"The team was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and dedicated to making the transition as smooth and positive as possible for Baby Smokie. I've had the pleasure of adopting two cats through Adelaide Pets Alive! and I am so thankful for the amazing work they do each and every day."
Georgie

“Our family adopted two kittens, Dolly and Leo from Adelaide Pets Alive! last year and they have been an absolute joy. They were in foster care since birth and the kittens were well socialised with people and the resident dog. Our kittens were personally delivered to our home and spent hours with us helping the kittens settle into their new environment. The kittens have blended into our family and live with two big dogs. They are incredibly sociable with our dogs, they eat, sleep and play together like one big family. We honestly feel like the kittens were professionally trained and we are grateful for the loving start they gave our little ones!"
Andrea

"Garfield is so beautiful, we could not wish for a more perfect boy. His manner, temperament and attitude are the best. Not only was Garfield saved from the community and given a second chance, but he was raised in a loving foster care environment. Not many animals are this lucky! Adopting Garfield from Adelaide Pets Alive! has been the best decision."
Annie

"I adopted sweet Marlie (left) from Adelaide Pets Alive! a year ago. I visited Marlie only weeks after his birth and also met his siblings! This was an amazing opportunity! The foster carers kept me updated with Marlie's progress prior to adoption and the process was very personable. It was such a stress free adoption and I can't thank the team at Adelaide Pets Alive! enough for helping to bring Marlie into our little family. Charlie girl (right) loves her little brother."

Surrender process
"The team were amazing to work with and they helped us adopt out our loving dogs in such a kind, caring and completely non-judgemental way - and that meant the world to us. The process felt supportive and respectful from the start to finish, and we could tell that they truly cared about finding the right home for every animal. We are so grateful for the work they do and the way they make people and pets feel valued."

"We would like to thank the team at Adelaide Pets Alive! for their support and guidance during the fostering, then adoption of Charlie. Charlie is the most beautiful, gentle and loving dog and he has settled in well to our family. Charlie and our dog Meeka love each other, and we can see that Meeka has a new spring in her step! Charlie has also learnt to live with our cat Kiki!"
